That even if the loading time were long, I sometime enjoyed the fact that I could take a small break between races. Yes, I'm still holding my controller too hard, particularly when under stress : ) Had to get the blood circulating again : )

But the highlight of this article is basically implying that the sixaxis has extra "costly" hardware not needed. It's not the extra $1 or less, for the motion sensitive chip, that should deter people from buying a controller that is cheaper than the ones on other consoles! This highlight make reader feel like the sixaxis is overly expensive, because of one small chip that add so much to games, when used properly. It's just the negative aspect of the "news" and the highlig...

They are saying that the sixaxis motion is bad: "that is more trouble and more expensive than its worth "

Yet, the sixaxis comes with internal rechargeable battery. So basically, it's still the cheapest controller around, since a 360 with rechargeable battery pack (or Wii-Nunchuck) cost more. So what is wrong with having more technology, for cheaper, particularly when you can turn it off in most game if you don't like it?

And yes, it's also proven... ...

Those games cannot come out soon enough!

After all, the 360 is built with relatively simple components. DVD player, relatively plain processor, all off the shelf components. So they cannot justify shortage because of fancy components. Only way would be if some or most of their production is used to replace defective units. So claiming shortage for a long term would simply mean that they have way too many defective units to handle by fixing them alone.

On top of that, shelves in my area are aways filled with 360 and PS3....

Most people are on a limited budget. Getting new controllers, and great games all at once, is rather expensive for most people. Sure, they have to come out one day, but with 2 great games? And nearly just before summer time?

I'm sure they would have sold well before Christmas, even with all the awesome games that came out then. Nice little gifts. But now?

Sure enough though, if they come out with a PS3 package, with DS3 and one of those two games, that may get some ...

As you said, any controller can be smashed into pieces, particularly if you have to let go some steam...

But every controllers built to date, for every game consoles, was designed to last long enough. Is there anybody here who never drop one on the floor?? They are designed to handle your typical usual every day drops, and that's all I ask from them...

But I would think that one of the main reason would be the fact that in most games, you see the same bad guys over, and over, and over. In a game like baseball, I would assume that all your bad guys are totally unique, i.e., they have to keep a 360degree picture of about hundreds and hundreds of different player's faces (that alone is huge. Remember, those guys do not wear helmets like in hockey, so lots of details). Then you have to have stats for each of these players. Simple things like, ...

Microsoft was in it simply to make sure the war would drag on... They didn't want ANYBODY to win the war, not even HDDVD. They are likely mad right now, because the infrastructure is not in place yet for downloading HD movie into every houses. I'm sure they would have like the war to last just one or two more years. Now if BluRay really start to pick up, it will be harder for them to promote getting movies without a physical media.

So sorry, but no thanks for Microsoft...

Some devs are claiming that the Unreal engine is crap, while THE software giant is claiming it's the end of the world.

I would still go with UT3 and mods.

P.S.: I think it's this week only. Likely going up after.

They should put a big warning on the box. Most HDtvs are below 6 ms refresh rate today. Somehow I doubt it though. I don't even think there's an LCD with such a low refresh rate on the market. They would only be good for flight display in airports, but even then, with such a slow refresh rate, you could miss a flight ; )

Basically, DMC4 is selling 2.5 times more on the PS3 with an installed base half of the Xbox 360. (VGChartz, feb12 2008)

So I would say the fact that the PS3 version it's more expensive likely doesn't help in UK. Did anybody saw an expla...

Then you should know the comments section is for commenting ABOUT the actual NEWS you just read!!! If your comment has nothing to do with the actual news, then don't comment... How simple is that???

If you want to comment about the fact that the sky is blue, start your own blog. If you want to comment about the actual news, then you're in the right section. If you want to start a war, you're not welcome here.

They talk about the cell only ONCE!!!

"We were positively surprised by how efficient the SPUs (the Cell processing units) were to do such things as run our vegetation simulation, our animations or our physics systems. "

Next time read the article before you bring in a totally irrelevant comment here.

Thank you.

(Keep in mind, I didn't capitalize anything, it is like that in the blog)

So this is simply an opinion (rant?) by a reader, like any of us. This was not worthy of the NEW and IMPROVED N4G, but yet, it did go through. So basically, if any of us ever rant on gamerblorge.com, eventually, we will likely show u...

Not sure why some country charge more for some games... Here in Canada, I never, ever, saw one game on the PS3 that was more expensive than the 360 version. Very strange.

Maybe buying online would be the solution. If the stores who are charging more do not sell games anymore, they will come back to regular prices...

They have removed online services after two years for some sport games, they will do the same with Burnout, since they are likely already working on the next version and will not want this one in the picture anymore. Money, money, money.
